March 17, 2009 Due to the warm weather and loss of snow, our trails are no longer rideable. To find out about the other areas on the riding conditions you will need to contact their snowphone for the info.

NOT RIDEABLE

March 13, 2009 Around the Orleans area riding is not good due to bare ground in some areas and not much snow coverage. The Island Pond area and beyond in the high elevations still have great riding. Riding is great in the Island Pond and beyond I have been told
March 10, 2009 We received rain and warm weather over the weekend and there is more rain forecasted for wednesday. The valley trails are down to ice and dirt with limited riding in high elevatioins. POOR
March 5, 2009 The trails are still in good riding conditions through the woods and in the high elevations. There is hard packed trails and not much snow coverage in the open areas and some frozen ice on the trails. The forecast is calling for a mixture of sleet changing to light rain showers Friday afternoon temperatures in the 40's and dry on Saturday. The trails on average are in good riding conditions due to low snow coverage. GOOD
March 3, 2009 We did receive rain on Friday. The trails in the low elevations and especially in the fields have bare areas and alot of frozen ice. Where the slush has turned to frozen ice is rough riding. Through the woods and in the high elevations there is good riding. We didn't receive much snow yesterday around 2 inches possible more in high elevations. If you do decide to ride PLEASE USE VERY EXTREME CAUTION for the icey conditions are bad.

FAIR TO GOOD

ICE CONDITIONS

February 25, 2009 We received 8 to 12 inches of new snow from the storm. We are out grooming our trails and the snow drifts that we got from the high winds. The trails will be in great shape. I hope we don't get much rain before it turns back to snow showers for Friday, temps are forecasted near 40 degrees and then cooling back down. GREAT
February 19, 2009 We have received around 6 to 8 inches of snow. This will help on the bare spots and icy spots. This snow has some moisture in it so it won't blow away off the trails. The temps are forecasted to be in the mid 20's during the day and some snow showers on and off during the weekend. The riding for this weekend should be great. Don't know how long these conditions will last so get out and enjoy the winter sport of snowmobiling (RIDE SAFE)

GREAT

February 16, 2009 I went out riding yesterday from Newport to the Northland Restaurant in Canaan around 157 miles. We are out grooming , smoothing up our trails where we can. The base is still there, now all we need is SNOW. The trails overall are in good condition especially in the high elevations and thru the woods. There are bare ground and alot of icy spots in some areas. PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION when riding. I will update this again on Thursday . We are to receive a mixture of freezing rain and snow showers starting Wednesday night into Thursday.

Riding is GOOD

USE CAUTION!!!!!

February 12, 2009 We have received warm temperatures in the mid 40's and rain for thursday. The trails have bare areas and water spots. Colder temps are forcasted for this weekend but we will need some snow to start grooming again. Trails will be hard with icy areas so PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION if you do decide to ride.

RAINY for TODAY

FAIR

February 10, 2009 There will be a warm up for thursday, temperatures in the mid 40's with light rain during the day. Some areas will have not much snow coverage(depends on how much rain we get on thursday). It will be dry on friday and saturday with temperatures cooling down again. I will update this report again after we get the rain on thursday around thursday evening. We need a nor-easter to come our way again. GOOD
February 3, 2009 We are out steady grooming our trails to keep them smooth. Come and ride our trails in the Northeast Kingdom. If we keep the cool weather the trails will stay in good condition. GREAT

January 21, 2009 We have been receiving light snow showers with 1-2 inches of the fluffy stuff on and off which will last thru Saturday. The groomer has been running steady keeping our trails in the great conditions that they are in. The cold temperatures help make this happen, when we don't get much snow accumalation. Don't forget our Poker Run on Saturday January 31. Excellent Riding
January 15, 2009 We are receiving an Arctic Blast of very cold temps for today and Friday, not getting above zero today and Friday only 2 degrees. These cold temps will help on keeping our trails in the good conditions that they are in. We are out grooming our trails every night to keep them smooth. The forecast for Saturday temps will be in the sinlgle digits and Sunday starting to warm up in the teens. There is no snow forecasted yet. GREAT
January 8, 2009 Yesterday we received the sleet and then we got around 4-8 inches of much needed snow. The forecast is calling for colder temperatures over the weekend and possible another 3 inches of snow today. We are out grooming our trails again. The trails should be in good shape with the cold weather coming after we groom all our trails.
